Van Persie led the attack for the Premier League All-Stars against Manchester City Legends, and the legendary Dutch striker was sporting Manchester United shin pads.
He enjoyed three seasons at Old Trafford, winning the Premier League title in his debut campaign after leaving Arsenal.
And it appears his loyalty lies with United rather than Arsenal considering his choice of equipment.

Needless to say, United fans loved seeing Van Persie in club-branded shinnies.
“Sad he didn’t come earlier. He loves the club man. Van gaal did him dirt,” one Twitter user wrote.
A second tweeted: “I will give up Pogba to have this gunman at my club right now even at the age of 36.”
A third added: “Legend RVP.”
The 36-year-old scored 58 goals for United, including an important free-kick against City back in the 2012/13 season.
And he continued his prolific ways at the Etihad on Wednesday by netting for the All-Stars with his trusted left-peg during the 2-2 draw.
Textbook Robin van Persie! :closed_book::dart:
The Premier League All-Stars take the lead after some lovely play, how about that backheel from Tim Cahill…

His goal and performance up front sent United fans into meltdown.
Watching Van Persie in a testimonial has reminded me how fucking shit our attackers are since he’s left. His touch, movement, finishing just everything is in slow mo when he plays. So controlled and effortless. The guy is an unbelievable footballer.

It’s sad to think that players such as Michael Carrick (38), Paul Scholes (44), & Robin Van Persie (36) would all stil get into the current Manchester United side.

I’m not even joking when i say get Van Persie and Paul Scholes back at United……
Scholes to boss the Midfield and show Pogba how it’s done and Van Persie to show Rashford how to score goals
